The Alliance for Ibero-America Business Council (CEAPI) has prepared the first barometer of Latin American investment in Spain within the Global Latam Report 2024 “The Internationalization of Latin American Companies” whose results have been presented in the ICEX auditorium in Madrid, within the presentation of the Report and in which the director of CEAPI studies participated and many of the partners attended.
German Ríos has advanced the conclusions of this analysis commissioned from CEAPI, which with the title “Barometer of Latin American Investment in Spain” has analyzed the responses of 23 Latin American companies that have recently invested and started operations in Spain in relation to the process of entering the Spanish market both at an administrative, commercial and economic level.
The surveys analyzed indicate that Spain is consolidating itself as an attractive market to invest in and as a bridge to Europe. In this way, two main reasons for choosing Spain as a destination for Latin American capital are identified: its geographical location, proximity to markets such as Europe or Africa. (70% of the total), and the common language and cultural proximity accounted for 78% of the total companies questioned.
