FEDER and Estrategos agree to work together to raise awareness of the demands of people with rare diseases

The Spanish Federation of Rare Diseases (FEDER) and Estrategos have reached an agreement to work together with the aim of making visible the demands of people who live with a rare disease or are looking for a diagnosis.

The Public Affairs consultancy will collaborate with FEDER so that the initiatives and activities carried out by the federation can be worked on from a rights defence strategy that allows optimising all the work it carries out to raise awareness of rare diseases and to ask for political support to facilitate the daily life of those affected.

President Juan Carrión wanted to emphasise the importance of this agreement, stating that “FEDER was born more than 25 years ago with the aim of giving a voice to the more than 3 million people in our country who live with a rare disease or are looking for a diagnosis. This agreement will undoubtedly allow us to continue advancing towards this objective and to defend the rights of our group more effectively.”

The meeting was attended by the president of FEDER, Juan Carrión; General Manager Isabel Motero; Estrategos CEO Francisco Jerez; the director of the Health Department of the consultancy firm, Pablo Pichel; and Estrategos consultant and health expert Paloma Pita.
