Entrepreneurs for Education (ExE) carried out the first stage of the second edition of the Aceros Arequipa National Mathematics Contest, organized in alliance with the Ministry of Education (MINEDU), CONCYTEC and the Peruvian Mathematical Society (SMP)
The competition had the participation of more than 29,000 students from 187 UGELs nationwide. In this edition, the notable female participation stood out with 46%, reflecting the great interest of students in mathematics.
The organizing committee was present supervising the carrying out of the tests in the regions of Arequipa, Cusco, Lima, Puno, San Martín and Trujillo, guaranteeing the correct execution of the contest in various parts of the country.
The competition was divided into two shifts: the first evaluation took place in the morning from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m., and the second in the afternoon from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Each of these tests was designed by the Peruvian Mathematical Society, ensuring the rigor and quality of the exams.
We highlight the commitment of the specialists from the different UGELs nationwide, demonstrating their commitment to the contest through the management of spaces for the evaluation, and ensuring an honest work team that collaborated in each classroom where the test was taken.
