The Secretary of Equity in Health, Martín Sabignoso, mentioned that in the first time that telemedicine is used in the national public health system, he also expressed that: “we have already reached more than 130 thousand consultations throughout the country and it has doubled the number of nodes or centers that use telemedicine ”.
Sabignoso also reported that 56% of telemedicine was focused on COVID-19, for the monitoring of suspected cases or confirmed cases. In addition, the official added that 30% of the consultations were to treat diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and infectious diseases.
