The Latin GRAMMY foundation brings music and opportunities to students in Las Vegas

The Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation, along with artists such as Edgar Barrera, Luis Ángel “El Flaco,” and Oscar Maydon, held an educational day at Las Vegas High School and SLAM Nevada to inspire the next generation of Latin music creators. The program included an interactive Q&A session, musical performances, and the donation of instruments to strengthen the arts programs at both institutions.

This initiative, which is part of the Beyond The Instrument project in partnership with the Dr. Simi Foundation and Sony Music Group, aims to ensure that more students have access to music education from an early age. “It is important to give back to the next generation and encourage them to follow their dreams,” said Barrera, while “El Flaco” and Maydon shared messages about discipline, passion, and perseverance.

Las Vegas High School, which is celebrating its centennial, and SLAM Nevada, with a growing music program, will be able to expand their resources thanks to this investment. “This support will allow our students to find their voice and express themselves through music,” emphasized the representatives of both institutions.
