The Spanish Federation of Rare Diseases signs a collaboration agreement

The Spanish Federation of Rare Diseases (FEDER) has signed a collaboration agreement that involves the contribution of 500,000 euros to finance the activities intended for its beneficiaries. Thanks to this agreement, FEDER will be able to promote the two basic areas in which it works: therapy services for those affected and aid for research in the diagnosis and treatment of rare diseases.

In the area of therapies, the collaboration will allow the entity’s funds to be doubled to address treatments that allow the physical and psychological autonomy of children and adults, through innovative techniques such as hydrotherapy, music therapy, cognitive stimulation or sensory therapy.

In the area of research, the contribution of the Amancio Ortega Foundation will allow a substantial expansion of the annual call for FEDER aid to research centers in Spain, which will allow the incorporation of lines dedicated to new pathologies, in addition to support for new research projects. complementary to other existing ones.
