Ayuda en Acción fosters alliances for the development of peruvian women

The Ayuda en Acción Foundation announced its alliance with L’Oréal for the development of “Beauty for a Future”. The objective of this alliance is to promote social innovation through the comprehensive training of women in vulnerable situations who seek to enter the workforce and fulfill their dreams by developing in the world of beauty.

Thus, “Beauty for a Future” consists of 100% free training in the trades of hairdressing and makeup for people between 18 and 40 years of age who are in a situation of social and economic vulnerability; developing their managerial skills and technical competencies that help them land jobs in personal beauty services.

The program uses the Online + Offline educational system and grants the student the flexibility of study schedules, from any location. The system also includes a combination of recorded classes + face-to-face practice hours or step-by-step demonstrations with live practical monitoring from a digital platform; being the composition of classes: 1) Online: recorded classes L’Oréal Access platform, 2) Live: Live classes dictated from Microsoft Teams or zoom and 3) Offline: Classes dictated face-to-face.

During the program, students take courses of 12 training modules for approximately 4 months. The curriculum includes courses such as color, hair treatment, cutting and painting, skin, makeup, manicure, coaching, among others.

It can even help people rediscover their place in society. Precisely our Beauty for a Future program seeks to improve life through beauty, and the right alliances, such as the one we announced today with Ayuda en Acción, help us achieve that purpose».

“Beauty for a Future” began in Peru in 2006, to date in Central America and the Andean region, it has impacted more than three thousand women and for the period 2022-2023 it hopes to have more than 1,000 more beneficiaries. With this new alliance, 300 women in Peru will be part of Beauty for a Future, contributing to their labor insertion, as well as the generation of self-employment. The program takes place in several cities; in Peru in Lima (Ventanilla) and Piura, while in Colombia; in Bogotá, Barranquilla, Cartagena, Medellín and Puerto Colombia.

«With the “Beauty for a future” program and in alliance with L’oreal, we seek that women between 18 and 40 years old develop corporate skills and technical skills that help them access jobs in personal beauty services. In addition, we seek to generate self-employment (ventures) through businesses dedicated to beauty care; For this purpose, training programs are developed for business management, which includes the preparation of business plans, formalization plans, market analysis, among others».
