Eglantina Zingg receives the Fundación Starlite 2026 Solidarity Award

At Unidos en Red, we are immensely proud to celebrate the recognition awarded to Eglantina Zingg, founder of Goleadoras, who received the Fundación Starlite 2026 Solidarity Award in the Social Transformation category. The distinction was presented during the XVII Starlite Occident Gala, held on August 9 in Marbella.

This award recognizes a career dedicated to transforming lives through sports. Through Goleadoras, Eglantina has turned football into an educational tool that strengthens leadership, promotes equal opportunities, and develops socio-emotional skills among girls and young women, especially those growing up in vulnerable environments.

We are especially proud that this recognition coincides with the 16th anniversary of Goleadoras, an organization that has created opportunities for nearly 10,000 girls across seven countries in Latin America, Asia, and Europe. Through its programs, participants find a space to learn perseverance, discipline, respect, fair play, and, above all, to recognize that their voices matter and that their dreams are possible.

The moment became even more meaningful when Eglantina shared the recognition with the girls, families, coaches, volunteers, partners, and allies who have supported the growth of Goleadoras over the years. She also dedicated the award to Venezuela and to the families affected by the earthquakes, reaffirming the commitment of Goleadoras, together with Venezuela Sin Límites and Unidos en Red, to support the affected communities.
