Aligned with the objective of the Best Buddies Colombia School, in less than a year our allies have managed to get more than 70 People with Intellectual Disabilities (Friends of the Soul) to participate in informal education courses aimed at operational, service and administrative.
As a result of the work of the Best Buddies School, three courses have been developed, in which 25 Amigos del Alma graduated from the operational profile, 30 Amigos del Alma started the administrative course, which ends on May 20 in Bogotá, and 23 Amigos del Alma they will earn their first certificate in the service course at the national level.
From May 17 to October, the School will open two new face-to-face courses in Bogotá and one in Medellín, in addition to a mixed virtual course for the entire national territory.
Through different work modules in the courses, the Friends of the Soul are being guided to create their life project, acquiring valuable tools for autonomous decision-making and managing emotions. Fostering self-confidence and the security of their families to achieve their independence.
