Talent should never depend on financial resources, and the Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation proves this year after year. From Miami, the Foundation announced the awarding of more than USD 1.7 million in scholarships to music students with limited economic resources. These opportunities range from four-year commitments supporting undergraduate studies to tuition assistance scholarships, complemented by mentorships, learning labs, and educational experiences.
Among the most inspiring recognitions is the 2026 Noel Schajris Scholarship, also known as the Gifted Scholarship, awarded to young violinist Razil Rosado Figueroa. Valued at up to USD 250,000, the scholarship will allow him to study at Berklee College of Music. Additional awards include scholarships from the University of Miami Frost School of Music, the Berklee Emerging Talent Scholarship, the Celia Cruz Legacy Scholarship, the Kany García Scholarship, the Manolo Díaz Scholarship, and several tuition assistance grants.
Since its founding in 2014, the Foundation has awarded more than USD 17 million in scholarships, grants, and musical instruments. Its Executive Director, Raquel “Rocky” Egusquiza, emphasized that each scholarship represents an investment in the future of Latin music and in the extraordinary talent of a new generation of creators.
