Based on the conviction that “the arts are for everyone”, a new edition of “You Can Dance” will be launched in 2024, this time, as a center for integrated dance, with the aim of expanding its impact and reaching more people. Through classical, contemporary and urban dance, significant artistic experiences will arise that allow the community to experience its spirit and values.
Rita Rossi, in charge of the area of artistic training programs at Fundación Teatro del Lago, points out: At Teatro del Lago we believe in the transformative and enriching power of dance for the comprehensive development of children and young people, since it nourishes the soul and strengthens the body, allowing you to explore and communicate emotions in a unique and profound way. In that sense, You Can Dance is perhaps the most complete, incisive and continuous program to achieve this. We are proud to continue to welcome its development each year.
Teatro del Lago Foundation transforms lives through dance in 2024
The Teatro del Lago Foundation and Mustakis Foundation program is renewed this 2024, with a schedule that includes different dance classes: contemporary, urban and classical; in order to amplify its impact and transform the lives of girls, boys and young people.
For more than a decade, the Teatro del Lago Foundation and the Mustakis Foundation have transformed lives through a co-created program that promotes comprehensive development. It is “You Can Dance,” an invitation immersed in the world of dance that has captivated boys, girls, adolescents and young people in Chile. With regular sessions throughout 13 years of learning, today it records the involvement of more than 700 participants in its final performances, delighting audiences that total more than 46 thousand spectators.
Since its inception in 2013, this program has stood out as an innovative proposal that seeks comprehensive development through the performing arts, especially dance and ballet.
