12 organizations were winners of the XVIII edition of the Social Investment Fund of Venezuela sin Límites

Thanks to social investment, 12 institutions, registered in the Venezuela sin Límites network, were winners in the XVIII edition of the Social Investment Fund and will begin the execution of their projects in the first half of 2023.

The 2022 Call for the Social Investment Fund seeks to contribute to the strategic development of Venezuela, promoting the work that the NGOs registered in its network carry out every day, with the intention of generating a portfolio of innovative projects, structured in the Framework methodology. It is logical that they can accelerate their potential as institutions.

As priority topics of this Call, the following were selected: prevention of pregnancy at an early age and in adolescents, awareness and physical and mental health care for pregnant women in pre- and postnatal care; awareness, promotion and assistance to mothers to stimulate breastfeeding and finally sexual and reproductive education.

This call was divided into 4 phases: call, pre-selection and training, technical committee, public vote and jury; in each one we had the opportunity to promote institutional strengthening.

The last phase, public and jury voting, was carried out from October 24 to November 4, where each of the organizations held a virtual pitch that was displayed on a voting platform on our website and where, thanks to the A joint effort achieved the participation of 13,735 users, interested in supporting the social causes of the participating NGOs and adding their vote.

Finally, the jury sessions were held, where we had the participation of important personalities, beginning with our president Mireya Cisneros; Luis Enrique Marín, Director of Venezuela without Limits; Mercedes Hernández VP Communications and Social Connection of Digitel; Juan Carlos Sánchez, VP of Marketing at Digitel; Manuel Gómez, Professor at Centrum PUCP – Peru; Jaime Lodeiros, representative in Venezuela of Ayuda en Acción; Camilo Hoyos, Executive Director of Gratitude Foundation; Magdalena de Luca CEO of Sybven Corporation; Anna De Luca, Sybven Cell Leader; Jorge González Caro, National Representative of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA); Mary Carmen Villasmil, UNFPA Population and Development/Monitoring and Evaluation Program Officer; Carlos Gutierrez, UNFPA Resource Mobilization and Strategic Partnerships Officer; Laura Diaz, Program Manager of the Empresas Polar Foundation; Mireya Vargas, President Lyra Center; Patricia Kheler Director of Unidos en Red.

Their interventions allowed us to classify and evaluate each project from their expertise and contemplate the institution’s capacity to execute the project, sustainability and results in the short, medium and long term. The following organizations were winners of these sessions:
